| Installation instructions:
Turn on engine. Make sure car or truck is set on re-circulate. Turn fan to highest speed. Feel for reverse air flow under dash on the passenger side of vehicle. Insert filter under dash against the firewall. You should wedge the filter between the floor mat or carpet and the dash, as near to the air flow as possible. Light side of filter should face the passenger seat and darker side to the engine compartment. For imports, you can use re-circulate on any cycle, heat or cooling. Some American cars only work on re-circulation when “Max Air” is engaged. Check your owner’s manual or ask your dealer. You can still enjoy cleaner air by turning the temperature gauge to it’s highest setting when “Max Air” is engaged. It is not recommended to use re-circulation all the time as moisture can build up condensation on the windows, especially in the winter. Also you can reduce the oxygen level potentially causing drowsiness. Use re-circ to eliminate odors as needed. |
